AOC told this whopper on The Daily Show and the fact-checking website Politifact rated it “FALSE.” The entire budget for the armed forces in the fiscal year referenced was $700 billion. It’s possible that the top brass wanted even more.
However, the total budget increase was $61 billion, not even one-tenth of the $700 billion that she claimed.
