Socialist “It Girl” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rolled out her “Green New Deal” last week, expecting the media to hail it as a legislative masterpiece.
Americans were instead shocked over its insane radicalism, including an admission it will “fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes” and that it will raise taxes to provide “economic security to those…unwilling to work.”
So Ocasio-Cortez and her defenders are reacting the only way they know how. By lying.
Her policy adviser Robert Hockett, turned up the crazy with an absolutely bonkers appearance on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News program.
Carlson began reading from a copy of a Green New Deal outline written by Ocasio-Cortex’s chief of staff and posted to her official House website.
That’s when Hockett began twitching and shaking, and the lying started.
“Why would we ever pay people who are quote, ‘unwilling to work?’” Carlson asked.
“I, we, we never would, right? And AOC has never said anything like that, right? I think you’re referring to some sort of document that some, I think some doctored document that somebody other than us has been circulating,” Hockett claimed without evidence.
“Oh, I thought that came right from her, that was in the backgrounder from her office, is my understanding,” Carlson replied.
“No, no. She’s actually tweeted it out to laugh at it. If you look at her latest tweets, it seems that apparently, some Republicans have put it out there,” Hockett falsely claimed.
Ocasio-Cortez did not “tweet it out to laugh at it.” It was the official document posted to her congressional site. Her staff defended it until it became clear the sheer insanity was a political liability, at which point it was pulled.
“Oh, well then, thank you for correcting me,” Carlson sarcastically responded, while holding the actual document.
That was all liberal media outlets needed. They ran with that exchange, with The Huffington Post falsely claiming “Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Gets Fact-Checked On Own Show Over Green New Deal,” even though he was completely correct and his guest was lying.
Ocasio-Cortez took that lie and continued to spread it.
“Now AOC is retweeting her adviser telling Fox the sheet is itself not theirs,” Washington Post reporter Jeff Stein tweeted.
Ocasio-Cortez was brazenly lying, to the point where it appears she has a mental disorder.
But Hockett wasn’t done lying.
“I actually believe you’re actually on our side if you read the actual plan,” Hocket smugly lied, ignoring the fact Carlson was literally holding in his hands and reading from the actual plan.
“There’s nothing about getting rid of anything,” Hockett falsely claimed, later continuing, “Where’s the ‘airplane disappearance’ coming from?”
The plan literally reads “We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast.”
Ocasio-Cortez has yet to admit she and her staff or lying, apologize for the lying or seek treatment or counseling for her compulsive lying.
