At this moment, Republican lawmakers are fuming behind-closed-doors, as a lawyer representing the Department of Justice and FBI has blocked former director James Comey from answering questions on his role in the creation of the Russia investigation.
The attorney especially frustrated Congressman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), who said he invoked “vague” privileges to prevent Comey from responding and that the longtime G-Man didn’t seem bothered.
Issa vented to reporters during a break that Comey was “instructed” not to answer “a great many questions that are clearly items at the core of our investigation.”
