In an online video conference Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez encouraged a new generation of leadership in the Democratic Party.
Unfortunately, the Representative-elect for New York’s 14th congressional district appeared to have missed civics class the day the teacher explained the separation of powers.
Ocasio-Cortez urged fellow progressives to run for offices at all levels saying, “If we work our butts off to make sure that we take back all three chambers of Congress — Uh, rather, all three chambers of government: the presidency, the Senate, and the House.”
The three branches of government are the legislature, executive, and judiciary.
