Michelle Wolf, the former comedy writer who targeted pro-Trump women as host of the White House Correspondents Dinner, is going to desperate lengths to drum up ratings for her failing new cable show.
The Washington Examiner reports:
Comedian Michelle Wolf saluted abortions on her Netflix show, declaring at the end of a sketch, “God bless abortions and God bless America,” while donning the colors of the American flag and tossing confetti.
In the clip for the July 4 week episode of “The Break with Michelle Wolf,” published Sunday on YouTube, Wolf decried President Trump’s forthcoming Supreme Court pick as someone who would be “almost certain” to rule in favor of overturning Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 ruling that made abortion legal nationwide.
This isn’t the first time Wolf has tried to exploit abortion to attract attention to herself. During her WHCA dinner speech she targeted Vice President Mike Pence with the attempted joke, “Don’t knock it ‘til you try it — and when you do try it, really knock it. You know, you’ve got to get that baby out of there.”
Since Wolf’s show is on Netflix its ratings are not public, but the show is so awful even friendly liberal outlets can’t come up with good reviews.
“While Wolf’s show will almost surely change a lot, the relentless sameness of the first episode was, in its way, telling,” says Slate magazine, writing that the only thing the show offers is vicious personal attacks on conservatives.
When Wolf isn’t personally targeting conservatives with pre-written jokes that attempt to create viral outrage, Slate write the show “isn’t as revolutionary as it likes to think it is.
