Liberals are up in “arms” over an English soccer star’s tattoo, even demanding he be banned from the sport for the depiction of a M-16 rifle.

The tattoo, running down the lower right leg of English national team star Raheem Sterling, may actually be an anti-gun statement, but virtue-signaling liberals nonetheless demand he be personally destroyed.

When I was two my father died from being gunned down to death. I made a promise to myself I would never touch a gun in my life time, I shoot with my right foot so it has a deeper meaning,” tells the Guardian, indicting it may be an anti-gun statement.

Sterling was born in Jamaica and lived there until his family moved to England when he was five years old. His father was murdered when he was two.

But liberals demand blood, no matter the intent, and are targeting the working-class black immigrant.

“We demand he has the tattoo lasered off or covered up with a different tattoo. If he refuses he should be dropped from the England team. He’s supposed to be a role model but chooses to glamorise guns,” Lucy Cope, founder of Mothers Against Guns, demanded to the Guardian.

“Raheem shoots himself in the foot,” blared a headline in the Sun newspaper, mocking someone whose father was murdered. The Sun later put out a statement defending itself after readers accused it of racism.

England’s Football Association, which governs the sport across the country and runs the national team, is standing with Sterling.

“We all support Raheem Sterling and acknowledge the honest and heartfelt account he gave via Instagram last night,” the FA announced. “He and the rest of the squad are focused solely on preparing for the forthcoming World Cup.”
