ABC announced that it was canceling its hit show “Roseanne” Tuesday afternoon.
ABC president Channing Dungey announced the news in a statement calling Roseanne Barr’s Tweets “abhorrent” and “repugnant.”

This comes just hours after Barr went on a bizarre Twitter rant, calling former Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett a combination of “Planet of the Apes” and the “Muslim Brotherhood.”
Barr since deleted the tweet and apologized, saying the comments were made in “bad taste.”
