Accuracy in Media is a watchdog group that has led the charge in combating media bias for nearly 50 years.
Recently, AIM debuted a new rating system, to determine the level of bias in news stories on a case-by-case basis.
AIM’s Executive Director Gus Portela revealed that the new rating system capitalizes on what they’ve done for decades. The system incorporates a sliding scale that starts with accurate on one end and fake news at the other.
Now, any news clip, regardless of the outlet or medium, can be swiftly evaluated by a universal set of criteria.
Portela added, “If they are saying or writing something wrong, we want to be able to straighten the record and give it a rating.”
AIM’s new website gives conservatives an unprecedented opportunity to hold the mainstream media accountable.
