In an ill-advised tweet, Laura Ingraham mocked Parkland Shooting survivor David Hogg over his college rejections; for that, the student activist called for a boycott campaign against her advertisers. However, when CNN’s Joan Walsh similarly mocked a Parkland survivor, no boycott was called. Now, a Planned Parenthood official has also mocked a Parkland survivor; no prizes for guessing that a boycott won’t be called.
According to LifeNews, a Planned Parenthood senior adviser “was caught bullying a survivor of the Parkland, Florida school shooting and his date to the prom Thursday on Twitter.”
Ever since the Parkland protest became a national conversation, Planned Parenthood has actively supported students like Hogg and Emma Gonzalez in their fight to push for more gun control. Such students are sacred cows to the media and are off-limits for criticism. The few students who march to a different tune, like Kyle Kashuv, are subjected to a whole different set of rules. Elizabeth Thorp, a Planned Parenthood senior adviser, mocked Kyle Kashuv on Thursday:
Why does @ElizabethEThorp feel bullying a Parkland survivor is okay? More importantly, why is she bullying my date? pic.twitter.com/BF3hnsMf0m

…
When Kashuv called out Thorp for publicly “bullying” him and his date, Thorp doubled down:
Not bullying, Kyle.
Giving her some motherly advice after she publicly asked for help scoring a prom date. https://t.co/UxlpysOI2R
