A West Virginia woman could not hold back her emotions as she thanked President Trump for recent tax cuts and for “listening to us.”
Some West Virginia families and business owners got the chance to hear and speak to the president at a roundtable Thursday on the benefits of the GOP tax cuts. Tony Hodge, a mail carrier, emotionally told Trump how important the extra income was for his family and asked his wife, Jessica, to say a few words.
“I just want to say thank you. I said I was not going to cry,” she said, immediately beginning to cry. “I just want to say thank you to you for the tax cuts. This is a big deal for our family.”
She continued in a shaky voice, fighting back tears, as she emphasized the importance of the tax cuts and Trump’s interest in helping American families.
