Nunes is demanding that his committee be provided with the document that kicked off the investigation into allegations of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign in the 2016 election.
Nunes sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein of the State Department over the matter.
“More than a month ago,” Nunes said in the letter, “I requested Director Wray’s assistance in gaining access to an unredacted version of an Electronic Communication (EC) related to the opening of of an FBI counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign and responsive to the August 24 subpoenas, which had been made available to the Committee in heavily redacted form.”
