In the wake of the Parkland school shooting, Google’s social justice warriors decided to take action. The internet giant made a conscious decision Tuesday to censor Google Shopping searches that included the term “gun.”
They are paying dearly.
Yesterday morning, online shoppers discovered the platform no longer allowed them to search for anything with the word “gun” in it. The algorithm was so strict that users received error messages even when they sought out the 1986 Tom Cruise classic Top Gun and Burgundy wine.
The backlash on social media was swift and merciless.
Yo, Google is stopping any shopping results for AR-15s. pic.twitter.com/gQ8J2jQVuZ

Damn, sure are. Even just “rifle.” https://t.co/CzUaxWZnS7

Google censored “gun” in the shopping page.
So you can’t search for “gundam” or “guns n roses”
The name of the game: Find the exploit.
See how far the slippery slope can get.

It turns out the American people don’t appreciate blanket censorship – corporate or otherwise – from faceless bureaucrats.
In a statement later that day, Google said it was “working to address the issue.” As of this article’s publication, certain terms, like “AR-15” and “revolver” still display no results.
It’s almost impossible, not to mention incredibly laborious, to purchase a firearm online. You still have to go to a licensed firearm dealer who must carry out background check procedures before you’re allowed to pick it up.
In the end, Google’s war on guns further exposes their insular liberal bias.
