A new poll shows that Americans “overwhelmingly believe the Obama administration ‘improperly surveilled’ Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.”
Responders to the February 5 IBD/TIPP poll also said in a landslide they would like to see a special prosecutor appointed to investigate Obama’s FBI and Justice Department for alleged spying on our current president.
IBD/TIPP asked respondents how closely they were following the FBI and DOJ scandals. Three-quarters responded they were following either “very closely” or “somewhat closely.”
Of those, 55 percent said it was “likely” the Obama administration “improperly surveilled the Trump campaign during the 2016 election” – including half of independents and even 31 percent of Democrats.
A clear majority – 54 percent – agreed that a special prosecutor needed to be appointed to investigate the growing scandal, including 50 percent of independents and 44 percent of Democrats.
As Democrats in Washington continue to push their fact-free Trump-Russia collusion scandal, it appears their underhanded, potentially illegal tactics are coming back to bite them.
