The Alabama Crimson Tide won the college football national championship game in dramatic fashion on Monday night, coming back from a 13-point deficit, in a game that will go down as one of the best championships ever. Adding to the thrill of the game was the presence of President Donald Trump, who stood on the field and sang the national anthem with the rest of the stadium which garnered loud cheers from the crowd.
However, Alabama is getting some unwanted attention after two incidents happened off the field that are casting a bit of a shadow over the team’s impressive win.
The first incident happened before the game as the players were walking through a tunnel on their way to the field. One of Alabama’s players — identified by the Sporting News as running back Bo Scarbrough — yelled “F*** Trump!”
…
The second incident happened during the game when Alabama’s Mekhi Brown was flagged for a personal foul after punching a Georgia player and then appeared to throw a punch at one of Alabama’s coaches on the sidelines.
