At least one top Democrat is panicked over the Republican tax plan.
Philippe Reines – former senior advisor to Hillary Clinton – admitted this week that he’s worried the big tax savings could turn millennials into Republicans.
“I don’t know how millennials think,” Reines said. “It’s unclear what will get them going.”
But he did worry that one thing that could animate millennials politically is lower taxes – the likely outcome for most millennials once President Trump’s tax bill comes into effect in February.
“I hope millennials don’t fall into a lull, accepting that this is what it is,” he said. “God knows how many of them will see their taxes go down and base it just on that.”
