A Democratic Congressman dragged 11-year-old Barron Trump into the political gutter on New Year’s Eve – while on a bizarre Twitter rant about President Trump’s affinity for golf.
Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) took to Twitter to attack President Trump over his golf habits and accused him of not spending enough time with Barron. He also, apparently, criticized the child for not going along to play golf with his dad once in a while.
“He golfs when he could be reading or be in church or be with his family,” fumed Cohen, referring to the President. “Never see him with Barron. You’d think he’d be golfing with Dad occasionally, but narcissists only engage in activities where they are the show. No movies, sports viewing either just Fox! He will start a war!”
Cohen was one of the Democratic members of Congress who introduced articles of impeachment against Trump back in October, a measure soundly defeated by an overwhelmingly bipartisan majority in the House of Representatives.
Ironically, Cohen wrote his tweet on a day when Trump was spending time with his entire family: ringing in the New Year at his Mar-A-Lago estate in Florida.
Even Hillary Clinton, when asked to say something complimentary about Trump during a 2016 presidential debate, singled out his parenting skills for praise, saying: “His children are capable and devoted, and I think that says a lot about Donald.”
