Could Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) be the next politician in trouble over sexual misconduct?

In February 1992, as a graduate student at Stanford University, Booker wrote an op-ed for his school newspaper where he admitted to sexually assaulting a woman at a New Year’s Eve party in 1984.

“New Year’s Eve 1984 I will never forget,” Booker wrote. “I was 15. As the ball dropped, I leaned over to hug a friend, and she met me instead with an overwhelming kiss. As we fumbled upon the bed, I remember debating my next ‘move’ as if it were a chess game. With the ‘Top Gun’ slogan ringing in my head, I slowly reached for her breast. After having my hand pushed away once, I reached my ‘mark.'”

Booker added, “The next week in school she told me that she was drunk that night and didn’t really know what she was doing.”

Booker has yet to comment on his twenty-five-year-old op-ed, but he’s been very vocal at demanding other politicians atone for their alleged sexual misbehavior. Booker has already called on President Trump to resign over allegations.
