CNN anchor Anderson Cooper claims his Twitter was hacked – after going on an anti-Trump rant last night.
The tirade came in response to Trump’s Wednesday morning tweet about the upset loss of GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore. Trump explained that he had initially endorsed Moore’s primary opponent, Luther Strange because he didn’t think Moore could win the general election.
Trump later endorsed Moore.
Cooper tweeted, in response to Trump’s tweet, “Oh Really? You endorsed him you tool! Pathetic loser.”
Cooper claims that the whole thing happened while he was asleep. He insisted, on Twitter, “Just woke up to find out someone gained access to my twitter account. I have not sent a tweet in days or replied to any tweets. We are looking into how this happened.”
CNN also tweeted: “This morning someone gained access to the handle @andersoncooper and replied to POTUS. We’re working with Twitter to secure the account.”
Twitter has not officially commented. It remains unclear at the time of this article’s publishing if someone compromised Cooper’s Twitter or if the CNN host is attempting to cover up for a heat-of-the-moment tweet that could further reveal anti-Trump bias.
There’s an intuitive reason Occam’s razor just makes sense.
