Although Star Wars is not for everyone, it has undeniably conservative undertones. The First Order, like its predecessor the Galactic Empire, imitates the rise and fall of Hitler’s Third Reich. Even the enemy soldiers, known as stormtroopers, were based off the the brutes in the Storm Detachment, the paramilitary wing of the Nazi Party. At its core, Star Wars is a tale of the forces of freedom prevailing against tyranny and oppression.
