Lawyers for former national security adviser Mike Flynn have told President Trump’s lawyers that they can’t share information about the special counsel’s probe on Russia, a possible sign that Flynn is now cooperating with the investigation.
The New York Times reported that four sources close to the case said information sharing between the two sets lawyers of had ended.
That’s not a clear sign Flynn is working with the special counsel now, but it’s one possible interpretation. Trump’s lawyers believe Flynn has at least started talks with special counsel Robert Mueller’s team on cooperating, and possibly to negotiate an agreement with it.
The Times said Flynn has indicated he’s worried that charges might be brought against his son, Michael G. Flynn, who was chief of staff to his father.
