Hillary Clinton may have avoided prosecution for her email scandal, but she might not be so lucky with her quickly-burgeoning Uranium One and Trump dossier scandals.
According to attorney Gregg Jarrett, who sat down with Fox New’s Sean Hannity, Clinton could face at least 13 different charges, including six separate felonies for corruption.
Jarrett first weighed in on the Trump dossier scandal. The scandal burst into the news this week when it reports revealed that the Democratic Party and Clinton campaign secretly funded the widely-discredited “dossier” compiled against Trump before the 2016 election.
“You can’t pay a foreign national relative to a political campaign, and it appears she also – and the DNC – hid it – in their disclosure reports, which could also be criminally charged,” said Jarrett.
Jarrett went on to explain that it’s a violation of federal law to pay foreign nationals to impact a U.S. political campaign. The dossier was compiled by a former British spy, Michael Steele. The Clinton campaign could also be on the hook for filing a false or misleading campaign report, by claiming that the payment to Steele was a payment to their attorney.
Jarrett added that even more charges could come from the Uranium One scandal, where Hillary Clinton faces accusations of giving Russia control of one-fifth of America’s uranium supply as Secretary of State, in exchange for large sums of money to her husband and their foundation.
Jarrett explained that it’s a crime to confer a benefit to a foreign government in exchange for money. Hillary could also face charges under the federal bribery statute, the federal gratuity statute, the mail fraud statute, the wire fraud statute, the program bribery statute, and the Travel Act.
But it won’t be easy to catch the Clintons in the act, Jarrett warned.
“The Clintons are escape artists that would make Houdini proud,” he explained. “Whenever they are caught dangling their feet over the edge of illegality, they usually dummy up.”
