The brutal Latin gang, MS-13, tortured and executed a fifteen-year-old Virigian girl.

According to authorities, ten members and associates of MS-13 lured Damaris A. Reyes Rivas to a park in Springfield, Virginia, in January. Springfield is in Fairfax County—the nation’s most affluent county—outside of Washington, DC.

They blamed Reyes Rivas for the death of their leader, Christian Sosa Rivas, whose body had been dumped in the Potomac River several days before.

The gang members proceeded to interrogate Reyes Rivas about the murder of Sosa Rivas.

Fairfax County Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney, Katherine Stott, revealed on Tuesday that Sosa Rivas’s girlfriend, Venus Romero Iraheta told Reyes Rivas that she was going to die like Sosas Rivas.

The gang forced Reyes Rivas to strip to her shirt and shoes and stand in the snow. One member threatened to cut her fingers off, while another asked for gasoline so they could light the young girl on fire.

They viciously attacked Reyes Rivas punching her, kicking her, and stabbing her with sharpened sticks. Iraheta also cut a tattoo off of Reyes Rivas’s hand.

Reyes Rivas’s gruesome last moments were recorded by multiple gang members on video using their cell phones. They show Iraheta stabbing Reyes Rivas 13 times in the neck, before leaving her bloodied, lifeless body on the ground.

Three teens pleaded guilty to charges related to the murder: Cindy Blanco Hernandez, 19; Aldair J. Miranda Carcamo, 18; and Emerson Fugon Lopez, 17. They each face up to 30 years in prison, although all of them deny directly participating in the killing.

Iraheta faces murder charges and is scheduled to stand trial in January.
