Has a civil war erupted on Capitol Hill?
Republican Senators Rand Paul and Lindsay Graham engaged in a full-fledged Twitter battle this afternoon that shows no signs of abating.
The point of contention, the GOP’s legislative agenda and whether or not Republicans will stay true to their conservative roots.
The high-profile dust-up got underway after Senator Paul fired the opening salvos, expressing his displeasure with Sens. Graham and McCain for “torpedoing the budget” by insisting on breaking statutory spending caps.
I have told the White House and GOP leaders that if they simply stick to their own caps, the rest of the Budget is fine and I’ll vote yes.

However, Graham had no intention to stay quiet. He attacked ferociously, arguing that the Kentucky Senator’s ideological rigidity saved Obamacare. The South Carolinian falsely claimed the budget resolution under debate doesn’t affect spending caps and that once again, Paul was letting his principles get in the way of victory. Arizona “Republican” John McCain joined in, saying that no one cares about Senator Paul’s concerns over defense spending.
Point #2: The Budget resolution doesn’t affect statutory spending caps.

Will sniping from RINOs like Graham and McCain doom President Trump’s push for tax-reform? Time will tell.
