After eight years of Barack Obama’s slow-growth economics, the American people are finally excited about the economy again.
According to CNBC’s All-America Economic Survey, American optimism about the economy is at an “all-time high.”
Additionally, the four-quarter average for every single economic metric asked by the poll has hit 10-year-highs—showing that, in the first full economic year since President Trump’s election, the American people are once again feeling good about the future.
43% currently believe the economy is excellent or good. 36% think the economy will get better, and just 23% say it will get worse.
Usually, the rosy economic optimism would correlate with big gains for a presidential approval rating, but despite the booming market, President Trump’s approval rating has been hovering around 40% for months.
