The paper of record couldn’t get any more pretentious.

Retired New York Times correspondent and still part-time columnist, Steve Greenhouse criticized President Trump for letting an 11-year-old boy, Frank Giaccio mow the White House Rose Garden last week.

The Daily Wire shredded Greenhouse for Sunday’s moronic tweet. Others were even less forgiving.

The progressive critic’s issue with the feel-good story? It supposedly demonstrated the president’s insensitivity on crucial issues, like child labor and worker safety.

Besides revealing himself as an unprincipled ideologue, Greenhouse’s tweet mocked Giaccio, implying he did not have the skills to cut anyone’s grass – let alone the president’s. Apparently, Manhattan socialites look down on hardworking kids.

The president’s response was as gracious as Greenhouse’s was obtuse. White House Spokesperson, Sarah Huckabee Sanders said it was an “honor” to watch Giaccio get to work. She added, “The president has always loved go-getters like Frank.”

Perhaps this is a teachable moment for the left – but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
