President Donald Trump attacked Hillary Clinton’s excuses for losing the 2016 presidential election in a series of tweets Tuesday night.
“FBI Director [James] Comey was the best thing that ever happened to Hillary Clinton in that he gave her a free pass for many bad deeds! The phony Trump/Russia story was an excuse used by the Democrats as justification for losing the election. Perhaps Trump just ran a great campaign?” Trump wrote in a series of tweets.

The comments came after Clinton stated Tuesday that she was on her way to becoming the 45th president until FBI Director James Comey released a letter announcing the reopening of the investigation into Clinton’s private email server.
