Last week, Sean Hannity tweeted “[I] pray this is NOT true because if it is, that’s the total end of the FNC as we know it. Done.”
His tweet was referring a report that Fox News was going to fire its co-President Bill Shine.
Now Washington Examiner is reporting that Bill Shine is out at Fox:
Bill Shine, who has worked at Fox News for 20 years, has resigned as co-president.
An internal memo sent out by Rupert Murdoch, top executive of Fox’s parent company, made the announcement on Monday.
“Sadly, Bill Shine resigned today,” Murdoch’s memo said. “I know Bill was respected and liked by everybody at Fox News. We will all miss him.”
Fox News has been undergoing a transition with the recent departure of Bill O’Reilly who was a ratings machine for the network. His departure led to an entire revamping of Fox’s evening programing lineup.
Rumors are now circulation that some larger than life conservative media personalities are talking about teaming up for a ‘super conservative network’. That group might include O’Reilly.
Stay tuned.
