The University of California, Berkeley, used to be famous for its tireless dedication to free speech—but now, it’s getting a reputation as a place that’s hostile to anyone who thinks outside of rigid liberal dogma.
Berkeley’s new liberal intolerance took a chilling turn after multiple death threats have been made against Berkeley’s College Republicans.
In recent weeks, vandals have taken to posting anti-Republican stickers around campus. But rather than simply being a political protest, these stickers call for the beheading and lynching of anyone who is a member of the conservative political club.
According to a spokesperson for the College Republicans, this is simply the latest in a long line of death threats that they’ve received—with some of them even dating back before the November election, when Democrat Hillary Clinton was considered likely to become the 45th President of the United States.
Republicans at the famously left-wing university have weathered a number of storms over the last several months. When they invited controversial columnist Milo Yiannopolous to speak, the event had to be cancelled due to a violent protest than had erupted outside the building. In another instance, College Republicans filmed a fellow student casually tearing apart their Republican signage.
The state of the American university continues to decline, due to the shocking intolerance on the part of liberals in power.
