Fox News announced on Tuesday that it has hired Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel as a contributor to Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network.
Emanuel — brother of Democratic Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Hollywood super agent Ari Emanuel — currently serves as chair of the University of Pennsylvania’s department of medical ethics and health care policy, and is vice provost for global initiatives at the university.
During the Obama administration, he served as a special adviser on health policy and helped craft the Affordable Care Act.
Emanuel is the second prominent Democrat to join Fox as a contributor this year. Last month, the channel announced it had hired former State Department spokesperson Marie Harf as a contributor.
