Explosive reports by Eli Lake and Adam Kredo revealed that rogue elements in the intelligence community targeted Trump National Security Advisor Mike Flynn because he failed to support President Obama’s disastrous Iran deal. The campaign worked, and Flynn resigned. Now, some are suggesting that this is only the beginning of a larger effort by the intelligence community to undermine Trump’s presidency.
Trump’s response?
Bring it.
As Townhall reports:
While Press Secretary Sean Spicer said earlier this week former National Security Advisor General Michael Flynn was asked to resign over an irreconcilable breach of trust, the issue of people inside government leaking damaging information for political purposes has been a main focus within the administration.
First, President Trump is livid. Over the past two days Trump has repeatedly called leaks a “criminal act” and said at the White House today, “We’re going to find the leakers and they’re going to pay a big price.”
The spotlight has finally been put on the low-life leakers! They will be caught!

Leaking, and even illegal classified leaking, has been a big problem in Washington for years. Failing @nytimes (and others) must apologize!

We hope they are. Intelligence agencies answer to the democratically elected President of the United States, not the other way around. So called “conservatives” who think this is ok because they disagree with Trump’s approach are making a fatal mistake, and empowering unelected officials to intimidate any president at any time. This is a critical moment, and the American people need to stand with Trump while he drains the swamp.
