The FBI released its decision on Hillary Clinton’s latest batch of emails. As the Daily Mail reports:
The FBI has announced it will not make any changes to its July decision on Hillary Clinton’s emails, meaning the Democratic nominee will not be charged.
Congressman Jason Chaffetz tweeted out the massive news on Sunday afternoon.
‘FBI Dir just informed us ‘Based on our review, we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in July with respect to Sec Clinton’,’ Chaffetz wrote.
Speaking to reporters with Clinton in Cleveland, Ohio, Director of Communications Jennifer Palmieri confirmed the camp had seen Comey’s letter.
Conservatives should be disappointed by this news, but they shouldn’t be surprised. There was almost no way that Loretta Lynch’s compromised Justice Department was ever going to prosecute Hillary Clinton. The Obama legacy is too important to these people to risk that. But there is a bright side here. As the Federalist’s Sean Davis notes, emailgate helped expose our silly, hypocritical press:
The Obama FBI/DOJ were never going to charge Obama’s hand-picked successor. Anyone who ever said otherwise is a paint-huffing nutter.

“Obama’s FBI director, who refused to recommend charges, wanted to swing the election to Trump” is the “fire can’t melt steel” of 2016.

Main value of the Oct. Comey letter was in seeing how many Clinton presstitutes would turn on a dime to bury the guy they beatified in July.

Comey chose to fall on a grenade for Lynch in July and thought he could walk away unscathed. Poetic justice in both sides trashing him.

We agree with Davis’ statement, particularly his use of the term “presstitute” to characterize the wannabes who make up the fawning beltway media. Folks like John Harwood, Glenn Thrush, and the folks at the Washington Post who abdicate their duty to hold the powerful accountable in exchange for access. Here’s hoping that through their ridiculous words and deeds, these people exposed more Americans to the harsh reality that characterizes our time: there are two systems of justice, one for the rich, powerful, and politically connected, and one for the rest of us.
