A vandal demolished Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with a sledgehammer—and the mainstream media is calling it the work of a “hero.”
Nylon Magazine featured an article “Not all heroes wear capes, some carry sledgehammers,” and predicted that the vandalism represented how Trump’s “reign in the spotlight is coming to an end.”
They also offered to find the vandal and “give him a star of his own.”
Deadline Hollywood posted a video featuring a man who they identified as James Otis destroying the star. Otis, who was dressed as a construction worker, was caught hitting the star with a pickaxe and a sledgehammer.
The Los Angeles Police Department, however, is still investigating the vandalism and has not released the names of any suspects.
Trump was awarded the star in 2007, while hosting NBC’s The Apprentice.
This isn’t the first time the controversial Republican presidential nominee’s Walk of Fame star has been defaced. It had previously been graffitied with a swastika, and then again with a mute sign spray-painted over it.
