A report from Media Research Center’s NewsBusters goes in-depth on how Hollywood films and television shows have spent decades subtly preparing American citizens for an inevitable Hillary Clinton presidency.
MRC’s Maggie McKneely details how at least five popular television series — Commander-in-Chief, State of Affairs, Political Animals, The Good Wife and Madam Secretary — are all based on Clinton’s life, as are powerful female politician characters in TV shows like 24and House of Cards.
The Clinton promotion has continued even with some big-budget blockbuster films this year, including Independence Day: Resurgence, in which actress Sela Ward portrays a pantsuit-wearing female president that she says was expressly modeled on Clinton.
