Michael Jordan, known to many as the greatest basketball player of all time, is lifting his voice. The Charlotte Hornets owner, who was affected by gun violence when his father was murdered in 1993, is usually reserved about social issues. But he recently joined a growing list of other NBA and WNBA stars in speaking out about the recent shootings of black Americans and police.
In a one-page letter released exclusively to The Undefeated on Monday, he announced that he will donate $1 million each to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and the Institute for Community-Police Relations.
