Natalie Morales denied rumors that she left the “Today” show for “Access Hollywood” because she had an affair with Matt Lauer.
In May, the 44-year-old news anchor announced she was leaving “Today” after 10 years and moving to California with her family for the new gig. Many speculated that it was because Lauer no longer wanted to work with her.
“There’s an awkwardness between Matt and Natalie,” the source said. “He protected her for a long time and now it seems like something has gone awry.”
