Justice Antonin Scalia was appointed to the United States Supreme Court in 1986, by President Ronald Reagan. Scalia was a critical advocate for conservative jurisprudence, allowing for conservative ideals to manifest in ours laws and policy. He is a true American, that dedicated his life to the preservation of small government and the conservative ideology. Justice Scalia passed away in February of 2016, and Obama failed to attend his funeral.
