Donald Trump had harsh words for Ted Cruz, his new rival for the top spot in the GOP:
In the wake of a new poll showing Ted Cruz with a stunning leap into first place in Iowa, Donald Trump is now going on the attack against his one-time friend. “You look at the way he’s dealt with the Senate, where he goes in there like a — you know, frankly like a little bit of a maniac,” Trump said in an interview with Chris Wallace set to air Sunday morning. “You’re never going to get things done that way.” He also questioned Cruz’s judgment, saying he is not qualified to be president.
It will be interesting to see how Trump supporters view these comments, because Cruz stand against the Washington establishment is something that’s popular with the grassroots. However it’s received, expect to see these two candidates take the gloves off during Tuesday night’s debate.
