In a 1957 interview with CBS News’ Mike Wallace, Planned Parenthood’s founder Margaret Sanger said: “I think the greatest sin in the world is bringing children into the world — that have disease from their parents, that have no chance in the world to be a human being practically.” This quote by another eugenist, Joseph Mengele, in Angela V. Michaels’ Surfing the Tao: A Revolution of Free Will epitomizes the recent disturbing Planned Parenthood videos, which the reproductive health organization and its supporters have been denying: “The more we do to you, the less you seem to believe we are doing it.”
Planned Parenthood is nothing but a Mengele mafia. If people are going to say, “Never Again” they better exemplify that rallying cry. To not do so would be on top of what’s already a moral disgrace. Just as genocides occurred after the Holocaust, such as those in Rwanda and Kosovo, certain elements of the Holocaust, such as the neglect of human parts, have occurred multiple times after the massacre of 11 million people. Planned Parenthood qualifies as one of those times. Another example of such an instance occurred six years before the release of the Planned Parenthood videos, another medical facility copied Hitler’s mistakes.
Blogger Matt Walsh wrote about Earl Bradley’s pediatric clinic, which closed in 2009 because it followed Sanger’s disregard for newborns. Indicted two years later for raping hundreds of patients, the youngest no more than three of four months old. “This is really simple, just like the Dr. Bradley situation. Planned Parenthood intentionally destroys innocent life. Nothing else it does matters. No sane or moral person should even begin to talk about ‘other stuff,’ when a feature of their business — primary, secondary, major, minor, small, large, whatever — is killing babies.”
Those who disregard the value of human life have no moral compass. Those who were sent to Auschwitz (such as my grandmother) were selected by officials like Mengele to either forced labor or the gas chamber. Regarding the latter, Mengele conducted experiments so inhumane that he was known as the “Angel of Death.” In comparison to Walsh’s Planned Parenthood analysis, to remark that “other stuff” beside mass killings occurred in Auschwitz is naïve.
Planned Parenthood has no “Jekyll and Hyde” mechanism. There is nothing both good and bad about the organization. It is an evil organization that had belied the American people. The Center for Medical Progress’ unedited footage of Planned Parenthood’s facilities cannot be refuted.
According to a video-by-video analysis by The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway, in the third release Holly O’Donnell, a former StemExpress technician who harvested the parts from the aborted babies at a Planned Parenthood clinic, said, “We were asked to procure certain tissues like brain, livers, thymus, pancreas, heart, lungs, and pretty much anything on the fetus. It’s basically a huge trafficking of fetal tissues,” she explained. “StemExpress is a company that hires procurement techs to draw blood and dissect dead fetuses and sell the parts to researchers.” Dr. Savita Ginde, Vice President and Medical Director of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, is also featured in the video talking about how to get the most money out of an aborted 11-week old.
These actions bear a striking resemblance to those carried out by Auschwitz’s “Angel of Death.” According to the United States Holocaust Museum, Mengele had a “wide variety of other research interests, including a fascination with heterochromia, a condition in which an individual’s two irises differ in coloration. Throughout his stay in Auschwitz, Mengele collected the eyes of his murdered victims, in part to furnish ‘research material’ to colleague Karin Magnussen, a [Kaiser Wilhelm Institute] researcher of eye pigmentation.
“He himself also conducted several experiments in an attempt to unlock the secret of artificially changing eye color. Less famously, he zealously documented in camp inmates the progression of the disease Noma, a type of gangrene which destroys the mucous membrane of the mouth and other tissues.”
Additionally, in Race & Research: Perspectives on Minority Participation in Health Studies University of Mississippi medical researcher Bettina Beech writes, “Mengele was known as a manic collector of things human, including dwarf corpses, gallstones, and eyes. His fascination with eyes led to the infamous experiments in which he injected various substances into the eyes of brown-eyed Jewish children in an attempt to make them Nordic (blue).” O’Donnell and Ginde are no different than Mengele in terms of treating human parts. Their disregard for human life is barbaric and repulsive.
The message behind “Never Again” is a call to action to prevent the Holocaust’s atrocities from repeating themselves. Planned Parenthood may not consist of concentration camps, but in the abstract it is where the parts of those who will never even become human are almost treated cannibalistically. The overarching theme in comparing the Holocaust to Planned Parenthood is the vile approach toward their subjects. The Nazis killed the Jews solely because of their identity. Planned Parenthood dissects aborted parts solely because its employees and supporters only see those parts as if they were worthless.
If one message can be learned from the atrocities in 1930s Germany, it’s that we should treat everyone and everything with dignity. The United States in 2015 should be no exception. History repeats itself, for better or worse.
Never again should fetal parts be neglected or sold for profit. Never again should women be misled when receiving reproductive health services. Never again should Planned Parenthood receive another taxpayer cent. Justice must be served for the sake of life. Those exposed in the videos, as well as those at top of the hierarchy at Planned Parenthood, especially its president, Cecile Richards, should be held accountable for a miscarriage of justice.
