James “Spider” Mattis is well regarded for both his leadership in combat and his incredible intellect, well regarded by both the men who served under him and his peers. He is considered by some to be “the most revered Marine in a generation.” Mattis served as head of Central Command after General Petraeus moved on, and prior to that, he lead Marine divisions in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Mattis has a clear cut strategy for beating ISIS. Perhaps out presidential candidates should pay attention:
“Find the enemy that wants to end this experiment (in American democracy) and kill every one of them until they’re so sick of the killing that they leave us and our freedoms intact.”
