In the last week, we’ve heard generals discuss how Barack Obama has asked intelligence agencies to downplay the ISIS threat. We’ve heard reports that the president is hamstringing efforts to bomb ISIS back into the Stone Age, and in the past few weeks we’ve seen a slew of Obama appointees and would be presidential contenders assert that climate change is to blame for ISIS. It’s clear the Democratic party is committed to blaming everything BUT Radical Islam for terrorism. It can’t get any worse, right?
Wrong. Barack Obama gave a speech about something he thinks will serve as a “powerful rebuke” to ISIS:
President Obama declared Tuesday that next week’s climate change summit in Paris would be a “powerful rebuke” to terrorists, speaking alongside French President Francois Hollande at a joint news conference. “Next week, I will be joining President Hollande and world leaders in Paris for the global climate conference,” Obama said during his prepared remarks, which focused mostly on the efforts to fight the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
“What a powerful rebuke to the terrorists it will be, when the world stands as one and shows that we will not be deterred from building a better future for our children,” he added.
Because nothing says “terrorists, take cover” like an international cadre of liberal schmucks prattling on about climate change.
Are we doomed? It sure feels like it.
