New polling is out, and things are not looking good for the Democratic frontrunner, who gets trounced by candidates many believe should have dropped out by now. As Guy Benson reports:
Rubio’s up eight, Jeb’s up six, Trump and Carson are up five, Cruz is up four, and Christie’s up three. Fiorina is tied with Hillary, at 42 percent apiece. The sample is R+1 — perhaps a bit generous — but Hillary’s fundamentals remain terrible, including a dead-last (38/58) ‘honest and trustworthy’ score among the field. And it’s entirely plausible that more Americans are identifying as Republicans in the wake of the Paris attacks, especially as Democrats weirdly channel their energies toward sanitizing the threat of radical Islam and pushing an unpopular refugee policy, while accusing skeptics of un-American bigotry.
As Benson points out- the Democratic Party seems to have embraced gun control, open borders, and defense of radical Islam as fundamental elements of their plank. These issues are wildly unpopular with voters, and when combined with Hillary’s historic unfavorability are deeply problematic against virtually ANY GOP challenger.
