As refugees flood their countries and terrorists game the system to slaughter innocent Europeans, citizens across the continent are rushing out to purchase guns, recognizing that now, more than ever, they need to defend themselves.
This isn’t a problem for Americans, who have fought tooth and nail to protect our right to bear arms, recognizing gun ownership as a great equalizer against the power of the state and bad actors who would do us harm. But it could be, if Barack Obama gets his way. As Breitbart reports:
On November 17 GQ magazine published an interview with President Obama in which he indicated his last year in office will be one of “sustained attention” to gun control.
Obama said Americans have a habit of paying attention to a heinous crime for “48 [or] 72 hours” then just moving on, and he is going to try to keep them focused on gun control for longer than that during his final year.
According to GQ, Obama is examining options for using executive actions to secure more gun control. He pointed to executive actions he took in 2013 as a precedent for the ones he hopes to take in the coming 14 months.
Lest you think that this problem will go away under Obama, Hillary Clinton has promised to continue and expand upon his assault on the 2nd Amendment, and has promised to use executive power to defeat the NRA, which is another way of saying she’ll use dictatorial authority to overcome the democratic will of millions of gun owning Americans
