In an informal CNBC Poll, debate viewers were asked who won the debate. The consensus? Trump.
The Donald, who was slightly less exciting than he had been in previous debates, took home 45 percent of the vote. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio came in second and third, with 19 and 15 percent of the votes, respectively.
Former frontrunners Rand Paul and Jeb! Bush, crestfallen, came in at 3 and 1 percent. It’s a harsh reminder that elections in America are extremely unpredictable.
