There are still some commonsense conservatives in Hollywood, and when Bernie Sanders took to twitter to praise the Chinese Communist regime, one of them unloaded:
Actor James Woods, who frequently gets political on his Twitter account, called out Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders on Monday for a tweet about China.Sanders tweeted, “China — not exactly seen as a model when it comes to human rights — provides 14 weeks of paid maternity leave. The US provides zero.”
Woods responded within a few hours: “China has notoriously killed female infants for population control, you utter moron. #ChinaGendercide”
Sanders did not respond to Woods’ tweet on either his senatorial account or his presidential twitter account. In his senator bio, it says that tweets signed by “-B” are from the senator and the rest are from his staff. His tweet about China was not signed.
After that tweet to Sanders, Woods wrote on Twitter, “Basically Bernie is this commie scarecrow put up to make Hillary look palatable by comparison, right? There is no other rationale possible.”
This is just another case of liberals confusing the passage of government programs with noble titles for true compassion. Conservatives understand that culture matters. There are few nations that devalue human life quite like the Chinese, no matter what programs they might offer. They’re probably all greatly admired by Socialist Shill Sanders.
