In CNN’s Democratic presidential debate, Hillary Clinton denied that Benghazi was a scandal, because it didn’t affect her.
“Let’s just take a minute here and point out that this committee is basically an arm of the Republican National Committee,” Clinton said of the House Select Committee on Benghazi, whose probe has led to an ongoing FBI investigation of her illicit email server.
Clinton then attacked those who want her to answer specific questions regarding her handling of the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
“I am still standing,” Clinton said of the attack that killed four Americans.
