Star Dem witness Noah Feldman has also argued President Trump should be impeached for pardoning Sheriff Arpaio. Friendly reminder in an 1866 case SCOTUS held POTUS’s pardon power “extends to every offense known to the law.” The case’s name: Ex Parte Garland. pic.twitter.com/ehp5GZQKwC

How much do you have to hate President Trump to ignore basic facts when making grandiose claims? No one knows for sure, but Noah Feldman has crossed the threshold.
Feldman earlier proclaimed Trump should’ve been impeached for pardoning former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. However, an 1866 Supreme Court case ruled the president’s pardon powers “extends to every offense known to the law.” Ex parte Garland is a well-known case for legal scholars. Moreover, the New York Times and Washington Post recently published articles asking if the president could pardon himself. Feldman’s ignorance is inexplicable.
