The Obama administration sold high caliber weapons to gunrunners with cartel connections in an attempt to catch leaders of drug cartels. The plan failed when then-Attorney General Eric Holder failed to keep track of the guns sold.
What were the ramifications? A few hearings and some officials apologizing. This was enough for the media, but would that have been sufficient under a Trump administration?
