The NYSRPA is fighting the City of New York over the transportation of guns. A new law in the city prevents the transportation of a firearm outside the home unless the gun is unloaded and away from ammunition that would be used with the firearm.
The NYSRPA’s argument is that the law violates the right to self-defense by rendering firearms practically unusable in a scenario where they might be needed.
