The Western States Endurance Run (WSER) is an ultrarunning event where runners from around the world gather to compete.
A 38-year-old transgender woman entered the event for this year’s competition. The board of the WSER has decided to let them compete but anger and debate still rage in the running community. The race takes place later this year so only time will tell how this one ends.
