Federal Prosecutor John Durham’s appointment raises the real prospect of criminal charges for ideologues who reportedly spied on the president and his campaign.
Durham is a career prosecutor who made a name for himself taking down the Boston mob led by James “Whitey” Bulger.
Later, he secured the conviction of Republican Connecticut Governor John Rowland for not paying taxes.
The Obama administration tapped Durham in 2009 to investigate the legality of enhanced interrogation techniques.
The 68-year-old is highly-regarded on both sides of the aisle and sufficiently equipped to help determine if intelligence collection involving the Trump campaign violated the law.
Then why hasn’t he gone after Sharpton and Abrams?
